Description:
A fine lite-weight optical mouse which has a high precision but lacks durability.

I bought this mouse in 2003, late August. So it's one year old. The price was less than $20, now it's around $10.

This is an optical mouse that's comfortable for your hand, that's one of the reasons I bought it - and, of course, because it's optical. Before this one I had a wireless mouse with ball, but the precision wasn't satisfying.

The mouse worked fine (was used about 8h/day) till yesterday, when it suddenly wouldn't move the cursor. The optical eye of the mouse was still working, this gave me a hint that it's the cable. And it was.

Before this mouse I also had 3 others from Genius (different models), also with this fault, just that the cable failed even after 3 months of use. I don't get this guys at Genius, for years they make the same mistake, over and over. Now I have to throw the mouse because of the cable. Of course I could fix it, but I'm not that kind of guy. I have a spear mouse (optical) and I'll use that one, although it's less comfortable. Next, I'm going to buy a mouse from Microsoft, which I'm sure will last longer. No more cheap stuff for me .

In conclusion, I can recommend this to you if you want a high precision, comfortable mouse, but I can't recommend it as a long-lasting mouse (only if you want to fix the cable after a year ).

High precision
Comfortable
Not so long-lasting
